2 Aklan towns get new patrol cars

KALIBO, Aklan - To enhance police mobility and visibility, two far-flung towns of the province of Aklan were recipients of brand new patrol cars from the Philippine National Police (PNP).
The brand new Toyota Hi-Lux patrol cars are for the police stations of Batan and Madalag while another patrol vehicle will be issued to the Provincial Public Safety Management Company (PPSMC) of the Aklan Police Provincial Office (APPO).
Police regional director Chief Supt. Isagani Cuevas, Jr. handed over the keys of the patrol cars to Madalag mayor Rex Gubatina and Batan mayor Delfina Ramos during the 19th PNP anniversary at Camp Martin Teofilo Delgado in Iloilo City on Monday.
The distribution of patrol cars were witnessed by Aklan police provincial director Senior Supt. Epifanio Bragais, Jr. and Provincial Administrator Atty. Diego M. Luces.
The brand new police vehicles for the local police force will further improve the overall police service in the area of jurisdiction. The three vehicles were part of the 28 patrol cars distributed to police units in Western Visayas by PNP chief Jesus Versoza for their capability enhancement component program of the Integrated Transformation Program.
To bring out police service at its best, the PNP will also hire 10,000 rookie cops and acquire additional patrol cars to every municipal stations in the country in the next five years.
