5 ACC grads pass 2006 bar exams

KALIBO, Aklan – Five law graduates of the Aklan Catholic College (ACC) passed the 2006 bar examination out of 6,187 who took it. The exam was administered by the Supreme Court last September 2006.
Court employee Giovanni Paul I. Gomez, former bank manager Sylvano F. Sarabia, incumbent Makato councilor Apollo V. Roldan, Psyche M. Taunan and educator Dangal Z. Nadua were among the latest bar passers of ACC.
"We are proud of our law graduates who hurdled the 2006 tests with flying colors," said lawyer-professor Ronelo Inventado.
As a Catholic educational institution, the ACC College of Law aims to produce lawyers who conduct themselves according to Christian principles and to the noblest traditions of the bench and the bars and competent, service-oriented, committed and responsive to globalization.
Noel Malimban of the University of the Cordilleras in Baguio City topped the bar examinations with a rating of 87.6 percent to led the 1,893 law graduates.
Debora Acosta (University of the Philippines) and Ricardo Pilares III (Ateneo de Manila University) shared second place with 87.40 percent followed by Erika Ana Andrea Jimenez, (Ateneo, 86.6 percent), Maria Charizza Carlos (Ateneo, 86.1 percent), Gina Lyn Rubio (Far Eastern University, 85.75 percent), Anjuli Larla Tan (Dr. Vicente Orestes Romualdez Educational Center, 85.70 percent), Karen Gaviola (University of San Carlos, 85.68 percent), Al Shawid Ishmael (University of Cebu, 85.65 percent), Timothy Joseph Mendoza (UP, 85.55 percent) and Alain Charles Veloso (UP, 85.05 percent).
