Round-the-clock security in cemeteries ordered
BY BOY RYAN B. ZABAL

KALIBO, Aklan – Round-the-clock security is being implemented in all cemeteries here. Chief Insp. Arnold Ardiente said this is part of “Oplan Kaluluwa.”
As part of the security measures, Ardiente said his men are also in close coordination with officials of Brgys. Andagao and Estancia near the Kalibo Municipal Cemetery, Chinese Cemetery and the Milagrosa Cemetery.
“There are also police assistance centers to guarantee the security of those entering the cemeteries,” he added.
Ardiente stressed there is also a re-routing of traffic to decongest the heavy volume of vehicles around cemeteries.
Barangay tanods and the Philippine National Red Cross volunteers are augmenting uniformed policemen.
Ardiente urged the public to be vigilant and report to the police any trouble.
“Liquor, bladed weapons and gambling inside the cemeteries are prohibited for the peaceful observance of All Saint’s Day in cemeteries,” Ardiente added.
