Aklan cops ready for annual inspection

KALIBO, Aklan – Local cops in the province of Aklan are ready for the Annual General Inspection-Operational Readiness Security Inspection Test and Evaluation (AGI-ORSITE) this week.
AGI-ORSITE teams from the police national headquarters will evaluate the 17 municipal stations, the Boracay Special Tourist Protection Office and the Aklan Public Safety Management Company under the command of the Aklan Police Provincial Office (APPO) starting October 18 to 22.
Chief Supt. Victor Agarcio is the overall team leader of the annual general inspection while Chief Inspector Alberto Bagarra and Senior Inspector Eugenio Dionisio will spearhead the inspection in Aklan.
The weeklong AGI-ORSITE is an annual inspection of police units throughout the country to determine the readiness of the police force on administrative and operational compliance.
As the APPO prepares for the annual inspection, Aklan police provincial director Senior Superintendent Epifanio Bragais, Jr. has expressed readiness of his 600-strong uniformed and non-uniformed personnel for the AGI-ORSITE.
Team inspectors all the way from the Internal Affairs Office of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and representatives of the National Police Commission will assess the effectiveness and capabilities of police personnel on different scenarios such as arrest-search and handcuffing techniques, conduct of checkpoints, hostage taking negotiation and scene of crime operations.
Bragais said the entrance briefing and rank and office inspection will be held on October 18 at Camp Pastor Martelino in Barangay New Buswang.
